Absolutely a little gem where the service and food is in the top. You’re in no doubt that they care about the food and the coffee. You can taste that as well. We also tried their bacon - best I’ve had in UK. And then it’s dog friendly! Music was a little too loud for our liking, but it was possible to have a conversation. We are looking forward to visiting again!

Just decided to stop here for early lunch! Wow, really lovely little bistro/cafe next to The Atkinson museum. Love the different options on the menu, especially enjoyed the roast chicken Pavilion Fries (other options available!! Its gravyonaise!!). Soup was lovely too (potato, bacon, onion and rosemary), lovely presentation. Would love to come back here when I visit Southport again

Can't believe I've walked past this place so often (albeit, on the other side of the street) and never called in to check out the lunch menu. I always thought it was purely an Al Fresco eaterie, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out how spacious and comfortable the interior is, too. Tried their highly recommended Welsh Rarebit on sour dough toast, with homemade tomato chutney and a delicious avocado side salad which really hit the spot. And it was every bit as good as the reviews said it would be. But then, they have an excellent kitchen team of Paul, Jack and Adam slaving away out of sight, with a very attentive front of house team led by a very happy, intelligent, ready smiling young Matthew, and the delightful young Anneva, who looked after me and made me feel most welcome. I get the feeling that visitors become regulars quite easily in The Pavilion, and I hope they let me come back again soon. It's nice to find a chef who knows that Welsh Rarebit is so much more than just 'cheese on toast', and this Welsh Rarebit was a sheer delight. I think, in future, I'll stroll up Lord Street on one side, window shopping, and walk back on the other side so I don't accidentally miss this place out again. Such a happy vibe here, with excellent staff and wonderful food. Definitely well worth the visit. FIVE STARS

The pavilion cafe bar bistro in Southport is a fantastic venue, situated right in the centre. It's both intimate and inviting and gorgeously dressed. However it is the selection of food and drinks that are the star attraction here. Everything is freshly prepared to order using high quality ingredients and so flavoursome. I thoroughly recommend the burgers, soup and of course the Vietnamese fries!

Visited the other day and was delighted to see home made soup on the menu. Two options. I went with tomato soup and half a sandwhich. Everything was so fresh and flavoursome. Staff were lovely and attentive. I have never had a bad experience here. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a breakfast/lunch/brunch.
